More

Beyoncé Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) (låt) 18 november kommer Beyoncés tredje, en dubbelskiva säger ryktet. (David Drazdil) Tiger Lou A Partial Print (album) Oktober innehöll en hel mängd bra skivsläpp. Hade jag fått gå loss helt hade Jolie Hollands The Living and the Dead varit med bland oktobers bästa också. (Pontus Gustavsson) Empire of the Sun Walking on a Dream (Sam La More 12″ mix) (låt) Och till sist dök Sleepy Jackson-Luke Steele upp igen. MGMT, eat my shorts. Björk försöker räddar världen, men låter mer desperat än hoppfull. (Kal Ström) Less

Three questions I received on the global crisis: Question: Why do you devote so much time to analyzing the crisis? Why should we care about the suffering of these oblivious and egoistic animals (or why should we pity them egoistically, since we can’t do it any other way)? My Answer: 1. These people are all close to me! 2. Just like everything else in the world, the crisis has a reason and a purpose. Its purpose is to bring out a need in mankind’s to reevaluate its behavior. The suffering will not stop until we accomplish this, and accomplish it right. I do the things I do in order to help people choose the correct attitude to what’s taking place, which will reduce the suffering. Soon enough this “oblivious and egoistic animal suffering” will affect you as well. When it does, please don’t forget to write to me about how your opinion changes regarding how much time people should devote to this problem. Question: Does it make sense to think of the reciprocal hatred (or lack of reciprocal love) that’s being revealed in the world as a reflection of the state the Bnei Baruch group is in, or my personal state? My Answer: The group and the world are interconnected, but are on different levels: the group depends on the world for its spiritual ascent, and the world depends on the group to reduce the force of the suffering that descends upon it (whether or not it wants to listen to the group). Question: Why is the unity of the common soul being revealed today from its reverse side? Do we really need to feel pain from realizing our connection to all people in the world? My Answer: This is the only way to convince people to correct their nature. Pain is the measure of our imbalance with Nature. And we’re the ones who establish its severity. International Children’s Lesson on 10-24-08

On Friday 10.24.2008 I gave an international children’s lesson which was translated from Hebrew into English, Spanish, German, French and Russian. The topic of the lesson was: “We are the generation of correction,” as well as preparation for the Congress that will be held in Israel in February 2009. Our children (the children of the members of our organization all over the world) are the children of the future generation. They study Kabbalah: the creation of the world, its development and the goal it is moving to. They live and grow with this knowledge. As they study the regular school curriculum, they interpret it according to what they learn in Kabbalah. They realistically see themselves in both worlds. Their worldview completely includes the common soul and its current shattered state. They see the events happening in the world as movement toward the souls’ correction, their unification into one whole and the subsequent adhesion with the Creator or Nature. Their interactions and attitudes to themselves and the environment show that they see themselves and the whole world through this picture. They understand how different they are from others and they conceal their knowledge from their classmates in school. They interpret all the phenomena in the world based on the general picture of the universe, with which they grew up. I consider them a miracle in our world! My lessons with them are translated into six languages and broadcasted to children all over the world. Groups of children from our centers worldwide gather together and participate in the lessons together with us in real time. Share This Less

Religion’s Place In Our Lives

Religion’s Place In Our Lives

A question I received: You say that Kabbalah has nothing in common ... More

A question I received: You say that Kabbalah has nothing in common with religion. Then why don’t Christians, Muslims, and followers of other belief systems have books on Kabbalah? Didn’t they all come from the Jewish religion? My Answer: Baal HaSulam writes that all people may keep their respective religions even after reaching the final spiritual correction - adhesion with the Creator. This is a sign that the external actions bear absolutely no relation to spirituality, even though many people want to attribute this to them. Kabbalah was developed by Abraham in Babylon 4000 years ago. The Jewish religion as we know it today appeared after the downfall of the Jewish people from the spiritual level 2000 years ago. Kabbalah then became concealed (when The Book of Zohar was written), and all that remained is a corporeal, egoistic “imprint” of the previous, spiritual way of life. This is how Judaism was formed in the way it exists today. Later Christianity and Islam also originated from it. The Jewish religion divides into the Orthodox, Conservative and Reform branches. However, they differ only by having greater or smaller limits of observing the physical commandments. Hence they understand each other, are on the same side of egoism, and work to preserve it. In other words, the aim of one’s actions is inside a person, in the intention “for oneself.” Kabbalah, on the other hand, summons people to observe the intention “for bestowal” (for one’s neighbor or for the Creator – that is, “outside oneself”), rather than to observe physical actions. It deals with the internality rather than the externality (see item 61 of the “Introduction to The Book of Zohar”). Hence Kabbalah is opposite to all religions. This is why all the religions understand each other, but they consider Kabbalah absolutely unacceptable. Humanity will receive many more blows of fate before it will uncover the Creator’s Plan – to come close to Him through one’s intention . Today Kabbalah is coming back into use, in order to correct man. We have to add it to our lives by beginning to correct ourselves. There is also a place for religion: to remain as a form of culture. This is because Kabbalah reveals the Creator and the Upper World to a person, leaving no room for suppositions about them. In this case, all that remains of religion are customs or traditions. The reason why the religions are hostile toward Kabbalah is that Kabbalah gives every person an explanation of how to reveal the Creator, and in doing so it negates the need for religion. By giving people a personal connection with the Creator, Kabbalah strips the religious leaders of their power over the people. Nevertheless, Kabbalists are in favor of preserving religion as a tradition or culture, as a nation’s framework and way of life. At the same time Kabbalah says that we should complement this way of life with the attainment of the Creator - which is the purpose of man’s creation and his perfect state. On February 13th your boy GrantLOVE will be 40 years old, or years young, depending on your outlook on age in America. I was a pre-teen when the inception of Hip Hop music began its arduous journey. I was there when the Fatback Band created the first recorded Rap record “King Tim III”. I was there when the Sugarhill Gang created the first commercial rap record “Rappers Delight.” Throughout the early days of Rap music, and Hip Hop culture, (YES!! They are separate entities), I was there. Park Jams? Yep, been to a few. House Parties? Yep, been to quite a few. Disco Fever, T-Connection, Harlem World? Yep, even snuck into a few of those. My point is this….What my ears have been victim to over the last decade has been nothing short of an aural cancer, eating away at my love for Rap music. Thankfully my ears have discovered an alternative from commercial radio. With the advent of portable media players like iPod and my favorite, the Zune, as well as Internet websites and streaming internet stations, listening to good music is no longer a daunting task; in fact its as easy as ever to discover new talent. My love for Rap music has wavered over the past two decades. Fortunately it’s on the upswing with artists like, Common, Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Pharoah Monch, Mos Def, Little Brother, Slum Village, the list can go on. True lyricists doing what they do best, RHYME!! This one’s for you D! Holla.
