As Hip Hop organizations like the Zulu Nation continue to speak out against the corporate radio, Oakland California was the sight for a well attended townhall meeting this past Thursday night [Feb 23] It was put together by the Youth media Council who had flown activist from all around the country to speak on media Justice issues… Youth Media Council had sparked off an Unplug Clear Channel campaign. According to organizers continuously poisons and assaults the community by spewing racial hatred. Folks may wanna keep in mind that it was a Clear Channel station KFI in LA that put on a Daily Kill Tookie Hour radio show. It was a CC station that made fun of the Muyslims trampled to death during their pilgrimage to Mecca. Malkia Cyril of the Youth media Council opned up the event with some insightful words..
