Serious reservations about Russia's direction under President Vladimir Putin have been expressed by many U.S. politicians and reported by some Western news organizations, while some Russian scholars depart from what they call "herd behavior" and raise questions about the "Russia-bashing" they see as a reminder of the "Japan-bashing" in the 1980s. Is Russian democracy at bay? Is a new Cold War beginning? Who is responsible? Is the revival of the Russian economy, which has fuelled reassertion of Russian interests, due to the high oil revenues or due to structural reforms? Will Russian economic prosperity endure? These are among the questions that need to be judiciously considered before a rational Russia policy can be advanced. © 2007 Columbia University ( Rating: Squeaky Clean (G) / 44.6MB / 62Kbps / 97min 25sec )</itunes:subtitle>
