Working from home provides us with the wonderful opportunity to be around our children as much as we possibly can. Not many kids have the chance to see their parents in action every day and learn exactly what their parents do for a living. You are in a unique situation, which has some pros and cons. Kids are sponges and they learn a great deal from our actions. We’re their biggest role models especially during the early years. What example are you setting for your children? My kids see that I take quickie fitness breaks during my workday. This was one of my proudest moments that occurred when I was recording a workout video last year. My daughter decided to join in and workout with me. At one moment she began to do an exercise that I wasn’t doing, but she had seen me do before. Check it out… Work At Home Role Model I have received some great videos from my fellow Fat Loss Quickie members that show their kids getting involved in their workouts. It’s been cute to see 1 and 3 year old’s get involved and totally awesome to see busy work at home moms taking part in home office fitness with their teenage daughters. I love to keep it real with my videos. I don’t do much editing if any at all. If my kids (or cat) come into the video while I’m filming I just roll with it. I want to encourage my kids to get in front of the camera and express themselves. Have there been some embarrassing moments? HA, you better believe it. They’ve called me silly names, they’ve smacked me on the butt, they announced that I broke a toilet (even though I really didn’t) :) The actions that my kids see me doing are a) helping others, b) taking care of my health, c) knowing when to turn the computer off and spend quality time with my family. When it comes to operating a home business it’s easy to focus on doing just business tasks because you believe those tasks are what’s going to bring in the doe so you can help support your family and provide them with the life that they deserve… ...But the life that they deserve is measured in much more than dollars and cents. Know when to turn the computer off. Know when to take short breaks. Live life to the fullest. Show your kids how much you love them by setting the best possible example that you can be. They deserve it and the rewards that you will receive in return will be much greater than you could ever imagine. You ROCK! Enjoy the experience, Scott Tousignant PS I would like to share a few gifts with you before I move onto my next blog tour stop. First, here’s some FREE stuff for you.
Hello once again. My name is Scott Tousignant your guest home office fitness blogger at WAHM Talk Radio. My kids wanted to cheer you on today. Noelle is giving you a thumbs up and Shayne is saying, “You ROCK!” :) Today I’ll be sharing another 2-minute quickie desk exercise routine that you can easily incorporate into your busy workday. There are dozens of reasons why I coach busy work-at-home-moms to incorporate fast fun home office fitness into their workday instead of sending them to the gym for an hour long workout. Some of the reasons for short bursts of exercise include a) increase metabolism, b) increase productivity, c) increase energy, d) improve quality of work, e) promote a balanced lifestyle. But the #1 Reason why my home office workouts and cardio sessions are 10 minutes or less is “COMPLIANCE”. Before I get into detail on the topic of sticking to a healthy active lifestyle I would first like you to perform this 2-minute desk exercise routin...

But the #1 Reason why my home office workouts and cardio sessions are 10 minutes or less is “COMPLIANCE”. Before I get into detail on the topic of sticking to a healthy active lifestyle I would first like you to perform this 2-minute desk exercise routine. So stop reading and get active, then come back and finish reading the rest of this post. WAHM Desk Exercises For Toned Arms Now back to home office fitness compliance… See how easy it was to step aside and take a quickie fitness break? You didn’t need to apply any make-up or do your hair, or get out of your pj’s if you’re still wearing them ;) Getting ready to go to the gym can feel like a chore. If you have a big project that you are working on it’s easy to make that a priority over your workout if you need to spend 45-60 minutes exercising. But 2-10 minutes… who doesn’t have time for that? Especially when you don’t even need to leave your home office. When you take a health break... a YOU break, each hour to perform the two minute routine above or the two minute quickie workout that I shared with you two days ago it becomes a part of your daily routine. It becomes a new healthy habit that you don’t even have to think about. It’s set on autopilot. When you take a 10-minute break to do a complete quickie workout or cardio session and you experience the positive impact that it immediately has on your business you will never want to miss another quickie ever again. The reason why most people don’t stick to a fitness program is because it doesn’t suit their lifestyle. It doesn’t take your unique needs into consideration. You can devote two minutes each hour to improving your health and quality of life. I know you can! Your business and family will be better off because of it too. Two minutes may not seem like a lot of time to get in a good workout, but when you add it up throughout your day it sure can have a big impact. Go for it! Take control of your health and your life. You work hard, you love your family, and you deserve to live the best quality of life possible. You ROCK! Enjoy the experience, Scott Tousignant PS If you are ready to discover how other work-at-home-moms just like you, have been able to finally achieve a balanced lifestyle, transforming their fitness, business, and life, simply visit the Fat Loss Quickie Experience today. <itunes:subtitle>Hi there. This is Scott Tousignant back again with more home office fitness tips and strategies to help increase your productivity while improving your quality of life. As a busy work-at-home-mom you wake up early and your day never seems to end. There’s always something to do and someone to look after. The needs of everyone else come before your own and you’re left with very little time to take care of the most important person… YOU! Today, that’s all going to change and Angie’s here to help you make that happen. Home Office Fitness Motivation For Busy Work At Home Moms Although you have good intentions about adopting a more active lifestyle it’s way too easy to cave into the demands of your hectic schedule. Hopefully after listening to Angie you now realize that it’s more important for you to take your scheduled fitness break than it is to tackle the latest task that just got dumped on you. Which one of Angie’s motivational strategies are you going to apply to help you take a pass on the snooze button and get your butt out of bed 10-minutes earlier to get in a quickie workout? What will you tell your kids and/or husband when you want to go out for a walk or do a quickie cardio session at the end of your busy workday? In the video above Angie recommended that you purchase an article of clothing such as a bathing suit that you would like to fit into when you reach your goal. She also recommended that you make it visible so you see it every day. In this picture Angie is wearing a bathing suit that she purchased which was a couple sizes smaller than where she was at when she wanted to get in great shape. She hung it up on the our bedroom door so it would be the first thing that she saw in the morning and the last thing that she saw before she went to bed. Using the bathing suit as part of her motivation she was able to release 6% bodyfat and flatten her tummy. It’s important to note that we have two children and our youngest, Noelle, who is now 6 years old, was delivered by c-section. And if you are wondering… No Angie is not genetically gifted. She can gain weight just as easy as the rest of us. You may not want to get as lean as Angie is, but using a bathing suit, a slimmer pair of jeans that you can’t quite fit into, or a nice evening gown as motivation to tone up your body and get healthy can help you stick with the program for the long term. Fat Loss Quickie member Angela Wills is using a leather jacket that she received as a gift but hasn’t been able to fit into for a while. She has pictures of herself from when she did fit into the jacket so she knows how great she’ll look when she can wear it again. That’s a powerful motivator and can really help you visualize the outcome! It’s time to take action! No more excuses! You owe it to yourself, your family, and your business to make your health the #1 priority in your life. You ROCK!
WAHM Fitness: Improve Circulation

Hello there. My name is Scott Tousignant. It’s an absolute honor to be a guest blogger here at WAHM Talk Radio this week. I’ll be sharing home office fitness tips with you in an effort to increase your productivity, energy, and improve your focus, quality of work, and overall health. I hope that you enjoyed hearing Tishia interview me yesterday for Work at Home Moms Talk Radio Show #289 . It sure was a fun, high-energy call. Today you’ll discover 3 simple exercises that you can do at your desk to improve the circulation in your legs. This is an extremely important issue for busy work-at-home-moms that rarely receives the attention that it deserves. I’m curious. <itunes:subtitle>Hello there. How many hours do you spend sitting at your desk during your workday? Are there times when you sit there for a few hours without getting up and moving around? The complications of spending several hours working at your desk each day goes beyond the typical health concerns of a sedentary lifestyle. This isn’t just about your weight or your heart health. Lack of circulation in your legs can result from extended periods of time where your legs are in a bent position such as sitting in your office chair. Some of the common problems associated with blocked or upset blood flow in your legs are; sore and tight lower leg muscles, leg pain, numbness in your legs, pain behind the knees, and knee joint pain. Over the long term there can be greater health complications that result from poor circulation in your legs. But I’m not here to scare you. I’m here to help you become the best YOU that you can be. That’s why I’ve put together 3 simple exercises that you can do at your desk to improve your circulation and have a more productive day. WAHM Desk Exercises The three exercises are: 1) Imaginary Bag Kicks 2) Running On The Spot 3) Butt Kicks You will perform each exercise for 30 seconds. This will take you a total of 2-minutes since the Imaginary Butt Kicks are performed one leg at a time. In addition to improving your circulation, these exercises will work your butt and thigh muscles. What work-at-home-mom doesn’t want a firm butt and tight thighs? It’s amazing how your heart rate can become elevated and your breathing becomes more labored in a measly two minutes. That’s good news. If you listened to the Work-At-Home-Mom Talk Radio Show yesterday you will have heard me discus how you can actually get a better workout in just a few minutes compared to the hours that most people spend in the gym. You have a few choices about how you can incorporate these exercises into your busy workday. Take a 2-minute break each hour and perform one round of each exercise. This will ensure that your blood flow is uninterrupted. Repeat the three exercises five times for a total of 10-minutes. This is a fantastic quickie cardio session that will really boost your metabolism and increase your productivity. A combination of the two. Perform the 2-minute circuit each hour except one where you will perform the 10-minute circuit. It’s time to be proactive with your health and take advantage of all the benefits that it will bring to your home based business as well as your life. Enjoy the exercises and be sure to leave your feedback in the comment box below. At the end of my guest blog tour I will randomly pick a winner from the comments shared throughout the week. The winner will receive my Fat Loss Quickie Home Office Fitness program and all the bonuses that come with it. How’s that for incentive just for sharing your thoughts and opinions? I want to hear from you. Your feedback means the world to me. You ROCK! Enjoy the experience, Scott Tousignant PS After you give the above exercises a try take a moment to discover what my Top 10 Home Office Exercises are.
Road Trip! This past week three fellow Michigananders (Tishia Lee, Kim Smith and Cindy Bidar) joined me for a whirlwind trip to Toronto, Canada for our first ‘International’ Mom Masterminds Tweet Up Lunch. On Thursday night our Canadian hostess, Sharon McMillan showed us a great time, taking us to Unionville for dinner (Angela Wills and Sarah Zeldman joins us) and a little local flavor and then entertaining us with great girl talk over coffee and yummy Italian desserts. We stayed at the Hilton in Markham – which was beautiful and oh so comfortable! On Friday we had lunch in the hotel restaurant with other Canadians from the surrounding area. It was an amazing time. I have known some of these women for six years and have enjoyed many great web chats and telephone conversations, but there’s nothing like face to face time. Do you get out of the house for face to face networking with others? Do you ever pursue having coffee or lunch with someone...

This week I’m talking about managing your affiliate links. We all sign up for affiliate programs with high hopes of making a couple of quick recommends and laughing all the way to the bank. That’s a pretty rare occurrence of course – it takes time, skill and persistence to make an income from affiliate programs. I’ll be sharing a few tips on how I make a steady income from affiliate programs and giving you some ideas on how you can make more affiliate recommendations each and every week. Just keeping track of your affiliate links can be a chore in itself. I made a quick seven minute video to show you how I organize my affiliate links and keep them handy for using. Watch the video. (Be patient, it may take a minute to load up.) Related posts: Work at Home Moms Talk Radio #271 Work at Home Moms Talk Radio #215 Work at Home Moms Talk Radio #216

We are almost half way through 2009. How’s your to do list coming along by the way? a Work at Home Moms Talk Radio #272 Related posts: Work at Home Moms Talk Radio – #164 Work at Home Moms Talk Radio – #144 Work at Home Moms Talk Radio – #150 a Work at Home Moms Talk Radio #272 Related posts: Work at Home Moms Talk Radio – #164 Work at Home Moms Talk Radio – #144 Work at Home Moms Talk Radio – #150</itunes:summary>

(30 minutes) Get up-to-the-minute news and opinions on your industry by subscribing to blogs and forums. Two easy ways to keep tabs on the “blogosphere” is to subscribe to your favorite blogs in a reader like Google Reader, and to use sites like Technorati or Digg to tell you what bloggers are buzzing about. Become an active member in a forum with other like-minded mom business owners like Mom Masterminds. As you are scanning what is happening, keep Task #2 in mind and take notes. 2. Plan and write your marketing content for the week. (45 minutes) Plan what you would like to write and update this week. Perhaps it is something like three blog posts, five Twitter tips, and one article. You can write it all right now and be done with it! Check out these tools to help you: TweetLater – Schedule your tweets ahead of time WordPress – Schedule your blog posts to publish any time TwitterFeed – Feed your blog posts right into Twitter 3. Use a tickler system to prompt personal communication with clients and prospects. (15 minutes) There is nothing more effective than one-on-one communication with clients and prospects. Do you have thank-you notes to send? A follow-up to someone who requested information about your business? A check-in with a past customer you have not heard from in awhile? Take the time just once a week to do this. If you don’t already have a reminder system in place, I highly suggest the online task management system Remember the Milk. (Read my previous post about the ins and outs of of it.) 4. Submit article(s) to directories. (30 minutes) I wondered aloud in a few forums a few weeks ago if article marketing is going by the wayside in lieu of Twitter and blogging, or if it is still an important way of marketing your business. The overwhelming consensus was that yes, it is still an important aspect to marketing. It is inexpensive, if done correctly brings qualified and interested buyers to your website, and is a quick way to establish your credibility. Another benefit is that you can repurpose content that you write: turn an article into a blog post series, transform an article into a freebie for your website or blog, or combine several articles into a special report that you sell. You can read my previous post about the basics of article marketing. Once you have written your article, submit it to multiple directories, including: EzineArticles Article Marketer WAHM-Articles What efficient marketing tips do you have? photo credit: popofatticus a Work Once; Market Your Business All Week Long Related posts: Are You Writing Articles To Promote Your Business?
