I may carry my iPod Touch and 3G phone everywhere I go, but I find my boyfriend&amp;#8217;s lack of tech refreshing and sweet. For one thing, I never have to worry about him answering his phone or texting when we&amp;#8217;re at dinner, because he only turns on his cell when he&amp;#8217;s traveling. My mom&amp;#8217;s birthday was a couple of weeks ago. But the moment you mentioned the tea kettle I knew that it would be perfect for my mother. She loves fancy kitchen toy and I used some of my saved up birthday, holiday, and allowance money to buy the kettle as a surprise. It is actually awesome, we set it up which may have taken us an hour but after reading the manual which comes in a variety of languages we finally set it up. It tells the time and does everything you said it does, it&amp;#8217;s also good because me and my mother are russian (I was born here in New York but my mom was born and raised in moscow) and since she&amp;#8217;s from europe she&amp;#8217;s used to 24-hour time and Celsius which are the only presets available on the kettle so she understands it better than me. Overall even I&amp;#8217;m impressed with it. It&amp;#8217;s sleek and the screen looks great!!! Even I like it!!! ALSO I use the mighty mouse which has for buttons, for expose and regular clicking, and it does increase functionality!!! : ) Hoping This Gets Read on the Show Sincerely, Daniel PS. I Got My mothers permission for you to show the attached pictures on the show PPS. Am I a tool?</itunes:subtitle>

Freedom Leg I wish I had this option in 2000 when I broke my right leg at the ankle David Eckard Hey, I am really into new gadgets. I usually purchase most of the new electronics that come out. It&amp;#8217;s funny because in your last podcast you guys mentions dating habits in reference to technology, and right after that one of my coworkers asked me out. I started to give him my number, but when I asked for his phone to put my number in, his phone looked like a jitterbug. I made a few jokes about his phone not having a color display, which was enough to deflect from me not giving him my number. He&amp;#8217;s a Verizon customer, and they are constantly contacting him pretty much begging him to upgrade his phone. He&amp;#8217;s even been offered a free phone, but he still will not do it. I really enjoy your listening to your podcasts. You guys are awesome. Thanks, Jazz</itunes:subtitle>

They make them for women too. -Erick from Michigan I can&amp;#8217;t decide if this is best for Bling RX, Tool Time or What The Hell? All I know is my mind is melting a little reading about the SUV with whale penis leather interior and gold-plated bulletproof windows. I do enjoy showing it off, especially when with friends and family, but keeping in mind, I didn't purchase this but in fact found it in the trash, What with my friend having a Pink version, I used her spare battery and flashed the device to a working state. Should I get one, and what network does it run on outside the states? Finally, what is the price in Australian $$, as it says $279 on the amazon website but I am not sure if that is correct. Love the show Allen, From Newcastle (one of the covered areas!), Australia E-Mail OK, so I just marched the Sansa Clip Plus through a bunch of different kinds of music and songs I&amp;#8217;m really familiar with: some Beethoven, some Vivaldi, some CCR, some Irish folk, some Led Zeppelin, the theme song to that other CNET podcast, My ear is usually OK: I can normally hear the difference between a CD and a standard MP3, even at pretty high bit rates, particularly for classical stuff. My report: It&amp;#8217;s fine, whiny audiophiles. Which is good, because it would kill me to be cranky with the podcast I listen to when I want to be cheered up. Whew. Now maybe I can stop hearing the &amp;#8220;Depression&amp;#8221; theme from the movie Stripes (track 3 on the soundtrack). Love. The. Show. Chris Jason, Kelly, Lindsay, and Molly, Did you ever realize that your names line up perfectly with the alphabet? J, K, L, and M. And with Natali, that adds N! I think that if you ever decide to add anyone else to the show at any point, you&amp;#8217;ll have to screen them carefully to make sure their name begins with either I or O. Cheers! Cheers! I was listening to episode 156 while making dinner and could not believe my ears when you listed the Foreman Grill as one of those things you would never think to use. I was literally wiping mine off before grilling up some chicken to put in a salad when I heard you say that! Mine is quite possibly my favorite kitchen gadget (after the coffee makers of course). I use that thing all the time to make grilled cheese, hotdogs, burgers, grilled PB&amp;amp;J sandwiches (sounds weird, but tastes great. trust me on this one), etc. Maybe it&amp;#8217;s just because I&amp;#8217;m a bachelor and just recently decided to start really learning my way around the kitchen, but the Foreman Grill is one of those things I look for excuses to use. Have you ever smelled that one dead mouse that crawled behind the baseboard &amp;amp; died. Now multiply that by 10. Ewww! Susan the tech from VA Mes Gadgettes, I am neither a doctor nor a woman so I am, of course, ideally suited to comment on the various offerings in the recent &amp;#8220;Lady Parts&amp;#8221; episode. Toradol tampons? Well, Toradol is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used to relieve moderately severe, acute pain with side effects including ulcers, internal bleeding and fluid retention. Not to be used for more than five days in all, by the way. Somehow, it doesn&amp;#8217;t sound like a good idea to park this drug anywhere near your reproductive system any time of the month. And don&amp;#8217;t get me started on Latisse. Hypotrichosis sounds like another made-up &amp;#8220;disease&amp;#8221; to be cured with an &amp;#8220;off label&amp;#8221; drug use. You had suggested throwing a kindle to the pile of tech toys i already had (and a non ATT phone, of course). In the end, I added neither, though I got as far as standing in the Verizon store and considering a mifi card thinking i could use it for data (could justify the price of that either). I did add a few things though and I thought I&amp;#8217;d spec them out for you: 1) Around Me (free iphone App) this is a location based way of finding all kinds of things near you, for the road trip, i used this to find gas stations, restaurants, grocery stores (for buying cheap snacks and water) and the like. The newest update has an options for searching other locations as well, so i could search cities i knew we&amp;#8217;d be pulling into for options as well. 2) Public Radio (free iphone app) or the new NPR (free iphone app) &amp;#8211; directory and live streaming options of every Public Radio station all the way across the states. Used Public Radio every morning to stream a lil news while we got ready, used the directory to look up news options as we drove. I&amp;#8217;ve had Public Radio quite awhile, NPR is brand new and has some neat VOD options as well, which we used along the way occasionally (like listening to old editions of Wait Wait Don&amp;#8217;t Tell Me). 3) Auto Stitch ($1.99 iphone app) program for stitching and color correcting multiple photos together &amp;#8211; i used this to do a variety of AMAZING panorama along the trip (see the attached example from Eastern Oregon near the Oregon Trail Museum) 4) AAA roadside app (free iphone app) &amp;#8211; i never used this, but its a new free app from AAA for members (which I am one) to request help to your location with the push of one button. 5) Traveling with Your Pet: The AAA Petbook ($8 book from AAA) &amp;#8211; not really a gadget, but we used this every single day. Its a directory of dog friendly motels and hotels in every city. We were able to find somewhere every night the first time we tried thanks to this book. Other than the audio books I mentioned (we listened/relistened to The Strain, Enders Game, and the Girl Who Played with Fire, FYI) I think thats about it, tech wise other than what I originally mentioned. For what its worth, AT&amp;amp;T did relatively fine for me &amp;#8211; we had one call drop and there were three places where we had no signal when we checked our phone, but there wanst any emergency at the time and within 20 or so minutes each time we had service again. Data-wise, the network did pretty good, though i had very slow edge speeds for much of the trip from the time we hit Mid-Missouri until we got to Oregon (about 2.5 days of travel). In a few of the places we stopped, were that the speed I was expected to live with on my smart phone for connectivity, I&amp;#8217;d have to find a better service or a job where connectivity wasnt so critical to me. thanks for letting me ramble on &amp;#8211; it was a great trip, but i&amp;#8217;m very happy to not have to do it again anytime soon&amp;#8230;. Here&amp;#8217;s the post: Basically they&amp;#8217;ve defined &amp;#8220;Entertainment Debt&amp;#8221; as: &amp;#8220;The term for having too much media to consume in too little time--including unwatched shows on your DVR, unspun Netflix discs, and unread magazines and items in your RSS reader.&amp;#8221; Dude I so have this!! I have 8 podcasts, entire TV series&amp;#8217; to watch and a bunch of book to read and no time to do it all, so I prioritize. I watch Gadgettes and listen to Windows Weekly over on TWiT and if I have time I read or watch an episode or something. I know it&amp;#8217;s not a gadget but it&amp;#8217;s definately caused by them! MikeyB Molly, Don&amp;#8217;t let Siavash&amp;#8217;s comment about being your girlfriend get you down &amp;#8211; I, like many Gadgettes listeners, would love to be your girlfriend. Of course, I love Apple products so every time you go on an anti-Apple rant it would lead to a big &amp;#8216;ol fight and I&amp;#8217;d leave all mad and slam doors and drive off in a huff. Then I&amp;#8217;d feel bad and send you a text message to apologize (but you wouldn&amp;#8217;t get it because AT&amp;amp;T sucks) and that would be really unfortunate because&amp;#8230; Everybody knows there&amp;#8217;s nothing better than make-up texts. <description>OK. So we promised you on last week's episode that we would do a single-purpose gadgets episode this week. Turns out, promising that type of thing in advance isn't such a good idea as we actually had to work to find gadgets that fit the theme.
